Solar PV Installers

The UK prides itself in the standards of professional work carried out within the building industry.

For this reason, all Solar Photovoltaic companies that are worth their salt have at the very least a certificate from BRE to demonstrate they are practicing the rigorous standards expected from customers and stakeholders.
Efficient Energy provides an objective and independent assessment of installers and their services.

Solar PV Accredited Installer Training

As a company, we at Cleaner Air Solutions Limited, one of the very first companies to successfully complete accreditation undet the new UKMCS scheme are committed to driving the industry forward, we have been actively working with the Learning Skills Council, Summit Skills, Business Enterprise North East (BENE) and New College Durham alongside the National Occupational Standards Council to develop NVQ level training in Renewable Energy Technologies. This has been a long drawn out process as there are many facets that we have to cover, as I am sure a lot of you will no doubt be aware of. We are now close to pulling together the first "Pilot" course, so I would be most interested to receive indications of interest in this as this will help us guage what sort of levels and equally importantly a regional "map" of "needs". We can then use this information to put further pressure on the government to deliver "Free" training to businesses wishing to ensure that they are getting trained staff to meet the demand, which will very quickly be upon us to install the volumes of technologies needed to meet our commitments against the Climate Change Targets set by our government.

The training we are talking about here is NOT one day manufacturer or technology specific - it is the backbone of the KEY skill sets required by a new generation of Renewable Energy Technology engineers and installers. This is from initial site appraisal, through energy efficiency and management aspects, the design of site specific systems, systems specification, product sourcing and installation, commissioning, after sales service and maintenance.
This means not only the tradesman physically carrying out installations, but all of the "background" activities that need to be in place before and after installation.

Your feedback is vital to ensure that we are fully covering what the industry needs to make sure that we are securing as much of this work here in the UK, not having to "buy in" products or expertise from outside of the UK.
This is vital to help retain revenues in the local economies regionally, as it is the local economies that ultimately stimulate growth in the wider UK economy.
