Bio Mass Boliers have been the most researched and perhaps the most complicated technologies and not just from from a M&E angle.

The cost is far from affordable and the environmental benefits have long been in question. Eminent scientists have questioned the benefits of biomass boilers from all angles.

The panel is still out but rest assured it wont return a verdict until the government funds have been spent installing the technology. Of all the renewable energy technologies this is the most expensive. A close run second is ground source heat pumps and for that reason they don't even get a consideration for most refurbishments, yet bio mass does!
